MIRI loves the novel Undertow like it’s a living being. So when she and her friends get the chance to meet the author, Fatima Ro, they plot a way to get closer to her. As for what happened with Jonah … Well, obviously none of that was Fatima’s fault.
SOLEIL wants to be a writer herself one day. She can’t believe it when Fatima asks them to hang out with her – and having Jonah there makes it even better.
PENNY is more than the party girl everyone thinks she is, and she’s willing to share her darkest secrets with Fatima to prove it. But what will happen when Fatima finds out about Jonah?
All of This Is True is a story of obsession and revenge, betrayal and forgiveness, and the devastating result of a secret that didn’t stay buried.
Wow. I loved everything about this book. I love how it made me think about the fundamentals of the human psyche and if all people who make bad decisions are bad people or if they can have redemption. I love the formatting switching from each characters perspective, from diary entries to interviews to book exerts. Hell, I even love how they dipped the pages so they say “tell me everything” and “you can trust me” on the proof copy.
I didn’t want to put this down, I just wanted to read and read and read. It had me hooked straight away. I think the short chapters really helped because it was easy to say, “I’ll just read one more” but we all know the “one mores” really mean 10 more or until the book is finished.
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! Perfect contemporary YA! Did I mention that I really liked it??? 😂
