Book Goals

Do you have any book related goals??!

I know a lot of people tend to have a reading goal for x amount of books in a year (mine is 70 in case you were wondering), but I am curious to know if anyone has a book goal outside of reading.

My Goal: to own an illuminated manuscriptΒ

Mine is quite an expensive goal which will mean it probably won’t happen for a while yet. I am happy to wait though.

Do you have any book goals? Maybe to own all first editions of your favourite series or of your favourite book? Maybe to own all the editions of your favourite book? Maybe to have your own library or be a librarian? Or own a bookshop? Or have killer shelves with a library ladder (my husband know the expectation is that he will build this for me in the near future)?

Let me know your goals and maybe we might inspire each other.

Happy reading xΒ

Oh man… I didn’t really have any book goals but I think now I’ve got some ideas for some! Owning an illuminated manuscript would be amazing. I saw some illuminated sheet music in Italy this summer and they are seriously beautiful. What sort of illuminated manuscript do you want? Right now, I think my biggest book goal is just to get enough bookcases that all my books can have somewhere to sit in my house…

I don’t think I would be too fussy about what kind of manuscript, happy to take any πŸ˜‚ I also have a similar mini goal about the bookshelves. Currently mine are two rows deep and stacked horizontally to fit on my shelf. Luck I have some loaned out or there would be no chance they would fit! My husband is going to build me a whole wall of shelves. Probably just going to use the Billy Bookcases from Ikea and frame around them. I’m very lucky to have a husband with building skills.
